Dr. Jerry E. Chaney was born in 1943 in Ross
County, OH. He began preaching at the age of 16, continuing to
preach during college. He holds eight degrees.
He married Loretta Sue Burns of Gallipolis,
OH and they have two sons, James and Todd, and five
grandchildren.
Dr. Chaney pastured his first church at the
age of 21. He pastured churches for twenty-six years. He has
operated a day care, a Christian School, and has taught at a
college.
He has served on various missions and college
boards. He has been instrumental in founding two mission boards.
At the present time he is president of Jerry Chaney ministries,
and vice-president of Summit Baptist Bible College. He is
founder and President of the Chaney Institute For Christian
Development.
He is president of Chaney Publications. He is
author of more than 26 books and other helps, plus tapes,
videos, and DVD’s of his messages. They are used in churches and
schools in various countries around the world.
He was speaker on the “Victory Way” radio
broadcast on a daily basis for many years, and has been on
television in several states.
Dr. Chaney is a missionary evangelist,
ministering in many smaller Baptist churches in America who need
help. He raised monthly support and preaches in some larger
churches to enable him to help the smaller churches. He will go
to any size church on a love offering basis. He has ministered
in several Foreign Countries and ministers in over 50 churches a
year covering 12 to 14 states. He is available for revivals,
Bible Conferences, and camp meetings.
He has been called a “Revivalist” by some
because of his desire to build up the local church and to
encourage the pastor. He has been referred to as the “Gentleman
Preacher” because of his desire to lift up and magnify the Lord
Jesus. He has been referred to as one of the “premier preachers”
in America today. He has been listed in “Who’s Who in Religion”.
